Deploy PasteWarden
via your existing MDM.
No per-user install. No user training. No new infrastructure. Pick your platform and your policy template, apply in the console, done.
From MDM to audit-ready in three stages
We've done this across hundreds of customers. The pattern is consistent.
- 01
Connect your MDM
Push PasteWarden to your managed Chrome / Edge fleet via your existing platform. Silent install.
- 02
Pick a policy template
HIPAA, PCI, source code, or client records. Apply to the relevant organisational units.
- 03
Review the audit log
Weekly digest to compliance, real-time dashboard for IT. Review and tune exceptions.
PasteWarden deploys through MDM, not the Chrome Web Store. We issue a signed extension to your organisation after onboarding.
Per-platform rollout instructions
Step-by-step for each of the three MDM platforms we see most. Others supported, contact us.
Jamf Pro (macOS)
For macOS fleets managed through Jamf Pro. Most common for professional-services firms and agencies.
- 1
Download the PasteWarden PKG
From your admin portal. Signed with your organisation's certificate: no additional approval needed.
- 2
Create a Configuration Profile
Computers → Configuration Profiles → New. Upload the PasteWarden plist from the same admin portal.
- 3
Scope to computer groups
Start with a pilot group: we recommend 30-50 people in your most-regulated department.
- 4
Review overrides after 7 days
The policy editor surfaces the top override reasons. Turn those into custom allow-lists or modified rules.
Microsoft Intune
For Windows and iOS fleets managed through Intune. Common for financial services and healthcare.
- 1
Upload the PasteWarden MSI
Intune → Apps → Windows apps → Add. Upload the MSI from your admin portal.
- 2
Configure the Chrome/Edge force-install policy
Under Configuration profiles, add the PasteWarden extension ID to the force-install list.
- 3
Scope to device groups
Staged rollout recommended. Start with the compliance team, expand to broader OUs after 7–14 days.
Google Workspace admin console
For Google Workspace-native organisations. Common for SaaS-first professional-services firms.
- 1
Chrome management → Apps & extensions
Devices → Chrome → Apps & extensions → Users & browsers.
- 2
Add by extension ID
Click + → Add from URL. Paste the extension ID from your onboarding email.
- 3
Force Install and scope to OUs
Set installation policy to Force Install. Scope to organisational units. No local admin rights required.
